1. Who We Are

Pinpoint Homes (pinpoint.homes) is a real estate marketplace that lets individuals and agencies list, browse, and compare properties in North Macedonia and the wider region. In this policy "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operators of Pinpoint Homes.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). If you represent a company, we also store the company name, logo, and a short description.

2.2 Listing content

When you post a property listing you provide details such as location, price, area, description, and photos. Location coordinates are stored privately; a slightly randomised (jittered) position is shown publicly to protect the exact address.

2.3 Usage data

We collect anonymous visitor identifiers and basic analytics (pages viewed, map interactions) to understand how the service is used and improve it. No personally identifiable browsing profiles are built or sold.

2.4 Communications

If you contact us by email we retain that correspondence to respond to your enquiry.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and maintain the marketplace platform.
• To display property listings to other users and the general public.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, listing expiry notices).
• To automatically publish approved property listings to our Facebook Page on your behalf, including the listing title, price, and a link to the listing page.
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Facebook / Meta

We use the Facebook Graph API to automatically share newly approved property listings on our public Facebook Page. When a listing is posted, we send the listing URL and a short caption (price and listing type) to Facebook. We do not send your personal account data to Facebook. Facebook's own Privacy Policy governs how Meta handles that content.

4.2 Map tiles — Stadia Maps

The interactive map uses tile images provided by Stadia Maps. Your browser makes requests to Stadia's servers to load map tiles; Stadia's Privacy Policy applies to those requests.

4.3 Image storage — Amazon Web Services S3

Property photos are stored in a private AWS S3 bucket. Images are served via AWS infrastructure. AWS's Privacy Notice applies.

4.4 Geocoding — Nominatim / OpenStreetMap

City search suggestions are fetched from the public Nominatim geocoding API. Queries you type in the search box are sent to Nominatim servers. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage and session storage to remember your map position, search filters, and login session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Authentication relies on JWT tokens stored in memory and/or local storage — not traditional cookies.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Listings are retained until you delete them or they expire. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights please email us at lazar@pinpoint.homes and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We use HTTPS for all data in transit and store passwords using industry-standard hashing. While we take reasonable precautions, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Pinpoint Homes is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
